About this policy
This policy covers the ScrollDam iOS application and this website. References to “we” and “us” mean the provider of ScrollDam. For questions about your information, contact [email protected].
Information we process
- App preferences and identifiers. The app stores settings, blocking schedules, daily limits, and onboarding preferences. It creates an app user identifier, stored in the iOS Keychain, to help identify your installation.
- Screen Time information. With your permission, the app uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to manage selected apps and display activity reports. Blocking selections and schedules are stored on your device, including shared storage used by the app’s extensions.
- App usage and diagnostics. The app integrates Amplitude, Firebase Analytics, and Adjust for app events, diagnostics, and attribution. These services may process app interactions, technical device information, and identifiers according to their configuration and your applicable device permissions.
- Purchases. Apple processes App Store payments. Adapty helps manage subscription access and purchase-related information. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
- Support requests. When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email, topic, message, and your agreement to processing the request. If the contact URL contains a userId, it is included with your submission. Please do not send passwords or payment card details.
How information is used
Information is used to provide app features, apply your settings, maintain subscription access, understand app performance, measure attribution where permitted, prevent misuse, and respond to support or privacy requests.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing depends on the purpose: providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and improving it, complying with legal obligations, or your consent where required. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.
Service providers
Information may be processed by service providers involved in hosting, analytics, attribution, subscriptions, or support, and may be disclosed when required by law or to protect legitimate rights. Their relevant privacy information is available here:
Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Applicable data protection requirements and appropriate transfer safeguards must be followed for such processing.
Website and contact form
This website does not include advertising or analytics scripts, and the contact form does not use cookies or browser storage. Fonts, Bootstrap, and jQuery are served with the website. The hosting service receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and requested resources, to deliver the site and protect it against misuse.
Support submissions, including your contact details, message, and optional app user ID, are sent to our support team through Telegram. Telegram processes this information under its Privacy Policy. The website does not keep a separate local copy of your message. An optional app user ID is used only as support context; it is not proof of identity or account ownership.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including handling support requests and meeting applicable legal obligations. Retention can vary by information type and service provider. Contact us to ask about or request deletion of information linked to you.
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information being processed. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can manage Screen Time access, notifications, and applicable tracking permissions in iOS Settings. Removing permissions may affect features that rely on them. App Store subscriptions are managed separately through your Apple account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Send requests through Contact us; we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your request.
Children’s information
The service is not intended to collect personal information knowingly from children below the age at which they can provide valid consent under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
